Nestled in the heart of Paden City, West Virginia, Jing Chen Chen's Garden is a cherished Chinese restaurant celebrated for its authentic flavors and warm, inviting atmosphere. This family-run gem delivers more than just a meal — it offers a heartfelt experience that keeps locals and visitors coming back for more.
The extensive menu reads as a love letter to classic Chinese cuisine, with dishes that sparkle in both taste and presentation. Start your culinary journey with appetizers like the crispy and flavorful Roast Pork Egg Roll or the delightfully crunchy Fried Shrimp, which has gained enthusiastic praise from patrons such as Joshi Poo, who calls it "amazing" and perfectly portioned. For those craving something comforting and savory, the Steamed Dumplings and Chicken On Stick stand out as specialties that deliver rich textures and deeply satisfying flavors, highlighted by Larry Haught's endorsement naming the chicken skewers “the best in the Ohio Valley.”
Moving to the main course, the menu shines with timeless favorites that capture the essence of traditional Chinese taste profiles. The Kung Pao Chicken offers a tantalizing balance of heat and sweetness, while the Sweet & Sour Chicken brings vibrant, tangy notes that dance on the palate. Carolyn Greco’s glowing review of the General Tso's Chicken with pork fried rice reveals the kitchen’s expertise in creating dishes with excellent depth and freshness—so good that leftovers become just as delightful. Those looking for a medley of textures and vegetables can indulge in the Chicken with Cashew Nuts or the robust Beef with Broccoli, each plate bursting with authentic seasoning and a perfect harmony of ingredients.
The ambiance at Jing Chen Chen's Garden mirrors its food philosophy: sincere, unpretentious, and deeply personal. Run by a dedicated duo whose hard work is unmistakably reflected in every dish, the restaurant offers an inviting space that feels like a second home. This intimate setting, combined with attentive, personalized service—like remembering a child’s favorite French fries without a word—creates an experience that goes beyond dining to genuine hospitality, as highlighted by many returning customers including myreef myway and Nate C.

I really ENJOY going to this place, my last visit.. I ordered the general tso's chicken with pork fried rice, also egg drop soup and an egg roll. Egg roll is okay. The egg drop soup is excellent, the fried rice is excellent and the General Tso's chicken is very good.. But next time I will have to remember to order it with white meat only. Other than that it was really good and I ate the left overs for about 2 more days. That does say something, because I am a very honest person and I will tell it the way it is. I hope the public can appreciate my ratings. FOR the record I am chef. So thank you Jing Chin Chen's Garden. Very good food... Ill be back! Lastly, in regards to prices. These people charge about Average price to be expected... Yet they don't hesitate to use fresh ingredients and I can tell! So thank you!! Just visited Again on NEW YEARS DAY 2020! Once again the food was amazing and I of course enjoyed the food as did my dinner guests. However the only item I will NOT BE ORDERING EVER AGAIN.... IS.... the bbq ribs. They were unfortunately a little over cooked. Too chewy for any of us to eat. Accept the dogs. That was $ 10. Wasted!!! Another thing that I WISHED I could get them to do which I have requested in the past... Is that there amazing fried rice... Have just a little more fried to the veggies and rice.. OTHERWISE... Its just rice and veggies! But I suppose I'll NEED to talk to the owner next time I'm there. Anyway... I do REALLY love there food. Its good and fairly priced.

Still doing take out only, one of the consistently best Chinese food places I've eaten from. Friendly and a full menu I regularly enjoy their steamed dumplings, hot & sour soup, and kung pow chicken. Their lo mein are also excellent.

Always amazing food. I have never been disappointed. The fact just 2 people run this restaurant amazes me. They are very hard workers and it shows in the food.

This is not a Chinese buffet. It is great food and well worth it though. The chicken on a stick is my favorite in the ohio valley and I haven't had a bad meal there. So good and pick up is quick and easy if you just want to take it home.
